Cinema in Sorø
Sorø has a long tradition of cinema. The Victoria Theatre in the middle of Storgade dates in its current form “only” back to 1949. After a group of owners took over the cinema in 1983, it was modernised, so that Sorø now has a modern cinema with its own unique and inviting atmosphere
Broad repertoire
The cinema works hard to screen as many premier films as possible. It also screens a broad range of good quality films – and the occasional avant-garde film. In 1988 the Victoria Theatre was voted Denmark’s “Cinema of the Year”.
3D equipment
In 2010 theVictoria Theatre benefited from new 3D equipment enabling it to screen films in 3D.
